Description du domaine: For over 60 years, our family-owned winery has been rooted in the northernmost – and coolest – part of the Franconian wine region. Nestled near the Rhön mountain range, we craft honest, handcrafted wines with true character. Grown on shell limestone soils on the steep slopes of the Saale Valley, our wines reflect the elegance, minerality, and balance that define cool-climate viticulture. Since 2009, all our vineyards have been organically farmed – because for us, sustainability is more than just a slogan. Founded in 1966 by Karl-Heinz Baldauf, the winery has been led by brothers Gerald and Ralf Baldauf and their wives since the 1990s. Shaped by formative experiences at world-class estates such as Klaus Peter Keller and Hubert Lamy, the third generation, Jannik and Bastian Baldauf, have now returned to the family estate. They now continue the family story with the same unwavering commitment to quality and tradition.
